La madre tiene hambre, ¿cómo se alimentará? In this lifetime, I see my practice as a series of offerings to support my own responsibility in taking care of the Earth. Usually, my work is inspired by interactions with nature, dreams and ritual. In my practice, I hope to instill or strengthen a re-remembering of old ways through performance; an invitation to dive deeper into lineage, traditions and cultural ways in order to find home and belonging. The ability to share my voice as resonance lends itself to a process in which the body can experience a cleanse, an opportunity to be transported into something ancient, old or somewhat familiar. What would it mean for one's voice to move as medicine, as a tool for transformation and creation? I have spent the latter part of my artistic career working primarily in photography, video and text while feeling at home through performance. Below are a few examples of this practice, with works of art that span between 2009 & 2023. Please send an email to request a digital portfolio & cv.
